Jack the Lass blogged about her Johari window, and I joined in.

I decided to create one for myself, so you can say nice things about me as well.
Then I went a stage further and also created a Nohari window, which lets you post criticism.

Have a go if you like - and say what you really think - I'm going to be pretty think skinned about the "flaws", 'cos I know I'm perfect really ;)

Oh - and don't worry about the name - Online I float between "Papa Smurf" and "Wet Kipper", depending on whether or not names are already taken.

You often hear complaints about "grocers' apostrophes" - putting them in plurals.
things like apple's and pear's and so on.

You sometimes get complaints about dropped apostrophes, using "its" when "it's" was actually correct, for example.

so this photo, from our local Tesco, shows what can happen when a grocer "drops" an apostrophe.

Famous Family

My Grandma is famous !

She was in this weekend's "Sunday Mail" - the Sunday version of Scotland's Daily Record.
And not because she's been mugged, or arrested for drug dealing

My Grandma was born on exactly the same day as the Queen - 21st April 1926.
They will both be 80 this year, and as part of her birthday celebrations , the Queen is holding a reception and lunch for peole that share her birthday a few days before the actual date

My Grandma is one of the few people chosen to attend this (my Mum's going with her) and so there was a small article in the paper about how the Queen's life compares with the life of my Grandma and another Scottish lady with the same birthday.
